GKS Inspection Services offers daily, weekly, and monthly rentals of FARO portable measurement equipment, as well as training for the scanning devices where necessary.

The service includes the use of the FARO LS-880 for long-range scanning projects. It is believed that this new scanner rental service will make it possible for customers to gain entry into the long-range scanning arena.

This service could also be used by customers who need to use the equipment for a limited number of projects or temporarily boost their workflow. The rental service saves on having to purchase costly equipment or train users in the equipment’s execution.

GKS can also process the large amount of digital data generated by the long-range 3D scanning systems. The company can export raw point cloud data into ASCII, DXF, DWG, IGES, and STEP.

Additional data processing tasks such as post-processing scan data files into AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/E, CATIA, UG, IDEAS, and other file formats can also be accomplished.
